A real kitchen for people who work with food.
De Proefklas opened in March 2022 as an independent rental kitchen next to Het Foodlokaal — our culinary workshop in Zaandam. We built the space the way we like to work ourselves: spacious, well-lit, with good equipment that takes the work off your hands rather than asking for patience.
Since then independent chefs, food brands, agencies, schools and teams regularly use the space for workshops, shoots, dinners and R&D projects.

Het Foodlokaal is a culinary platform with chefs, workshop teachers and food professionals under one roof. De Proefklas is their rental twin — bookable separately, with the same quality standard. No chef of your own for your workshop or dinner? We'll connect you with the right person from our network.

15 minutes from Amsterdam Noord, with free parking at the door and good public transport. Far cheaper to rent than a comparable space in Amsterdam, with the same equipment — and without the bustle. Our clients come from across North Holland and the Randstad.

From Amsterdam Central in ~25 min by sprinter to Zaandam Kogerveld or Zaandam Centraal, then 5 min on foot or by bus.
